Herring under the fur coat - recipe

For those who have forgotten a good old recipe or just starting their culinary practice, we will tell you how to make a herring under a fur coat correctly and tasty. Perhaps, even those who prepared such a dish more than once, will draw for themselves certain subtleties, which he had never suspected before and which will help to some extent improve the habitual version of his favorite snack.

Vegetables for cooking salad we need in boiled or baked form. Therefore, either boil the washed potatoes, beets and carrots individually until cooked in a pan in water, or bake the root vegetables in the oven in foil or in a bag. On readiness and cooling, we clean the vegetables and grind them on a large or medium grater. Salad onions should be cut as small as possible in cubes, and yawn with a fork.

Now we start to cut herring. We remove the skin from the carcass, gut it, cut off the head and tail, we clean the inside of the abdomen from the black film, and then we separate the fillets from the bones. We cut the flesh of the fish into cubes and start to prepare the salad. We will do this by layers, permeating each with mayonnaise and adding salt if necessary (if the herring is slightly salted). The first layer is laid out potatoes, then herring and onions, then carrots and beets. We finish the composition with the ground yolk and put the salad soaked on the shelf of the refrigerator.

The habitual design of the salad can be slightly transformed by making a herring under a fur coat in pita bread. To do this, in addition to the above components, we will need an Armenian thin large lavash. It must be divided into four parts. Everyone is generously anointed with mayonnaise. At first we spread the beets, the second carrot, the third potatoes with yolks, and the fourth herring with onions. We lay the pieces of pita bread on each other in the same order and turn off the roll. In order for the layers to converge at the end correctly, each subsequent layer is slightly shifted downward. Now we wrap the snack with food film and place it in the refrigerator for several hours to impregnate it.

Before serving, cut the product into fragments, stack it effectively on the dish, decorate with greens and spring onions and serve it to the table.

Despite the lazy design and, as a consequence, the rapid preparation of salad according to this recipe, the appetizer is stunningly impressive on the table and no less tasty than in the original version.

Boil hard-boiled chicken eggs, clean and cut into two equal longitudinal halves. Take the yolks and grate with a fork. Beets, carrots and potatoes must be brought to readiness in any accessible and convenient way. Washed root vegetables can be boiled in a saucepan with water or a couple in a double boiler, and bake them until cooked in the oven or microwave. On readiness and cooling we clear vegetables from the pelts and grate. Mix the vegetable shavings in a bowl, add the finely chopped salad bulb and yolks, throw the greens at will, dress up with mayonnaise, pour it, pepper and mix. Fill the resulting vegetable mixture with halves of eggs with a slide and attach a neat round shape.

Now we clean and gut the herring, separate the fillet from the bones and cut it into small transverse slices. We lay one for each half of eggs with vegetables, we complement the composition with a sprig of dill, we put a snack on a dish and serve.
