Garlic sauce is a delicious and healthy seasoning for many dishes in various culinary traditions. Garlic was cultivated in different civilizations since ancient times, because it contains biologically active organic compounds, such as sulphides, trace elements and vitamins, which are necessary for the human body.

How to cook garlic sauce

Usually, for the preparation of hot garlic sauce, various vegetable oils of cold pressing are used. Olive, sunflower, sesame or flaxseed oils are especially suitable for preparing various garlic sauces.

To grind garlic, you can use a mortar, blender or special hand presses (garlic clamps). Garlic squeezers give a larger texture. Garlic, crushed in one of these ways, is mixed with butter and left in a cool place for 1-2 hours. This is the simplest recipe. In this sauce you can add a raw egg (you can only yolk or just protein), lemon juice, water or a little table white wine, salt. This sauce is traditionally popular in the Mediterranean and Balkan culinary traditions.

The process of making cheese-garlic sauce is simple. First, we rub the cheese on medium or fine grater. Garlic crushed in a mortar (you can use a blender or a crush). Now we mix all the prepared ingredients in the bowl, cover the bowl and place the sauce in the refrigerator (not in the freezer compartment!).

Cheese and garlic sauce is good to serve, for example, with croutons or toasts. It will also be organically combined with dishes from boiled fish and / or seafood. As a refueling it can be used for some vegetable salads, for example, salad from tomatoes, olives and greens.

Sour-cream sour cream sauce

It's quite simple, but very tasty sauce.

Purified cloves of garlic are ground in a mortar or a crust. We put it into the bowl of the blender and add the sour cream there, all the other ingredients and greens, previously ground with a knife. We process the blender to a homogeneous texture. You can cook everything by hand. Let's stand with the sauce for half an hour.

Sour-cream sauce is served well to the chicken, turkey, dishes from boiled fish, meat or mushrooms. As a dressing, this sauce is suitable for vegetable salads.

Tomato-garlic sauce

Lemon-garlic sauce

Mix the juice of 2 lemons, grated or chopped garlic (2-5 denticles), 50 ml of vegetable oil, a little salt and ground fragrant or black pepper. You can use a blender. Let the sauce stand for half an hour.

Lemon-garlic sauce is well combined with dishes from meat, fish and poultry.
