So, what is included in this "basic" curry? Usually, it is a mixture of ground coriander, two kinds of hot pepper, turmeric, cumin, cinnamon, ginger and cloves. For the most pronounced aroma of curry mixture, it is better to grind the ingredients yourself, but if this is not possible, then buy ground spices, mix them quickly and store in an airtight container.

For cooking, the quickest way to use a coffee grinder or a small, but powerful blender. In the absence of such an opportunity, use a stump with a pestle or, at worst, use pre-ground spices.

Knowing the composition and proportions of curry powder, pour all used spices into the container of the grinder and whisk together until a uniform powder is obtained. Immediately pour the ready curry into any airtight container for storage.

This powder can be used to prepare traditional Indian curry from vegetables and poultry, or add to marinades and sauces in the framework of other favorite recipes.
