What should be a Christmas cookie?

There is no single opinion on this, but some rules still exist. First, the Christmas cookies should reflect the essence of the holiday in its form, that is, look like Christmas trees, stars, little animals or little men. Secondly, according to the opinion of many peoples of the Catholic world, many spices must be present in the recipes of Christmas cookies. Vanillin, rosemary, cinnamon, nutmeg and the like. Knead the dough, form from it 40 pieces of balls, cover and put in a cold place for the night. The next day roll the balls into thin cakes, put the filling in the middle of each and wrap the edges of the dough in the form of an envelope. Cookies should be baked at high temperature and hot sprinkled with vanilla sugar.

You can come up with your own stuffing. And to make it more interesting, in some "envelopes" hide a surprise, a small coin, a piece of chocolate, a large nut. Who will find a "surprise", will receive a small gift from the hostess, for example, a balloon or a motley magnet.

Honey-gingerbread Christmas cookies

When you lay down, it becomes denser. Roll out into a thin layer, cut out the figurines and bake the cookies on medium heat for 8-10 minutes. Let's cool down, and decorate with white and chocolate icing. Because the figures are very thin, they can be made two-layered. We take one figure, grease it with any confectionery cream, and we put the second same figure on top. We get extra pleasure.

Margarine melt, add sour cream, eggs, sugar, salt and soda and mix everything thoroughly. Add the candied fruits and spices and mix again. In the last turn, pour in the flour. It should be added in small portions, mixing the dough well. As a result, we should get an elastic, not sticky to the hands of com. Cover it with a warm vessel and let stand for 30 minutes.
