We offer you to eat home-made chips. Using our recipes, you can make your own beautiful alternative to the purchased product, which, despite its tempting taste, has not very flattering glory, thanks to the harmful additives and impurities contained in it.

Recipe for potato chips at home in the oven

The washed potato tubers are rid of the skins, rinsed again and, using a special knife for vegetables, cut into thin slices. Then put the resulting potato slices in a deep bowl, add half a portion of the refined olive oil and, gently stirring, carefully distribute it evenly over the surface of the potato. Now we put a parchment leaf on the baking tray, oil it and spread the potato slices into one layer. We put them in a preheated oven to 200 degrees and can withstand under such a temperature regime, until the potatoes change their color to golden.

We put the hot chips on the dish, season it with salt and dry Provencal herbs and try.

Chips at home in the microwave

As in my previous recipe, we clean and shred thin slices of potato tubers. Then we cover the dish with a slightly oiled parchment leaf and lay out on it in one layer slices of potatoes. We shall dip them from the top with napkins from moisture, we savor salt and the desired seasonings and spices and put them into the microwave oven. For the preparation of chips, select the microwave program for three minutes, and then transfer the device into a combined mode and cook for another five minutes.

We put the finished chips into a bowl and can eat.

Simple chips at home in a frying pan

The chips cooked in the frying pan are not as useful as in the oven and microwave oven, but their taste is the closest to what we are used to trying in the retail chain. So, let's get started. Washed potato tubers are cleaned, shredded thin slices and put into boiling oil, poured into a frying pan. It is very important to observe the following rule: potato slices should not come into contact with each other, otherwise the result will be fried potatoes , and not crispy chips.

When the potato slices become golden, we extract them from the oil on a napkin or paper towel to get rid of the excess fat, and in the pan we lay the next portion.

Finished chips are brought to taste with salt and the desired spices and can try.

Crispy home-made chips

Prepared properly, the potatoes are cut into slices and let down for a few minutes in a cold water. This will allow us to wash off the starch, which will give a more crunchy effect. We merge the potato slices into a colander, let it drain off well, and lay out on a towel to dry. Now we dip small portions of potatoes into boiling oil and brown to light golden color. Then we take out the chips on a paper towel and let them absorb the excess fat.

We cover the pan with a parchment leaf and spread the fried chips on it. Place the billet in a heated oven to 200 degrees and hold for five to seven minutes. During this time, the chips are finally dried and become more golden.
