The Eldorado International Airport is located in the western region of Bogotá, 15 km from the center of the capital of Colombia .
Bogota airport got its name in honor of the beautiful and very famous legend of the country of gold. These days it is the main air gateway to Colombia. Eldorado serves about 28 million passengers a year. By this indicator, Bogota airport is second only to two air harbors of South America - Guarulhos in Sao Paulo and Benito Juarez in Mexico City.

Bogota airport terminals
In the capital's Colombian airport there are 2 terminals. The first of these is called El Dorado or T1 and is focused on servicing international transportation. Its construction resembles the letter "H" and consists of two parts - international in the north and internal on the south side. In the international concourse there are 3 spacious lounges intended for customers of LAN Airlines, Avianca and American Airlines. Here are:

Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the T1 terminal.
The second terminal is called Puente Aéreo, mainly domestic flights arrive there. The distance between the two terminals is about 1 km. In order to avoid misunderstandings, check in advance on your tickets which terminal you are to fly from.
For the convenience and speed of alerting and passenger service, information desks are installed in both terminals. Of the other services not mentioned above, Bogota Airport has health centers and pharmacies, cafes and restaurants, bookshops, photo kiosks and even casinos.
How to get there?
You can get to the Eldorado airport in Bogota on one of the bus routes K86, 16-14, SITP P500 or by taxi. In the city center you will reach in about 20 minutes. The bus stop is at the exit from the airport. The cost of the bus ride is 1200 pesos ($ 0.6).
For a quick and comfortable move, you should opt for a taxi. To order a car you need to find a taxi stand at the airport, choose the desired direction and take a voucher for the trip. After that, go to the taxi stand, show the driver a coupon and name the address. Payment is made at the end of the trip. You will have to pay a strictly printed amount in the voucher. On average, the cost of travel from the airport of Eldorado to the center of Bogota or back varies from 15 to 25 thousand pesos ($ 7-14).
