Baby Yoga

Contrary to the modern name, initially the direction of children's yoga appeared even in our ancestors, as part of midwifery. Manipulation of that original baby yoga was carried out with newborns to relieve tension and get rid of deformity of the spine, as well as removal of postpartum stress . Today, baby yoga for newborns exists in the same format, only now it is practiced by experienced midwives who have passed special courses.

Next, baby yoga for toddlers involves static and dynamic exercises that really look like yoga asanas. It appeared at the end of the twentieth century, and the complexes include rotations, rocking, turns on weight.

There is also a third type of yoga exercise - this is the Brightlight. The direction appeared in England, where it was approved by the Ministry of Health, and the complexes include adapted asanas from hatha yoga for moms and toddlers.

Exercises

Physical exercise is useful for kids at any age, but still, before you engage with a newborn baby yoga, you should consult a doctor.

  1. The legs are wider than the shoulders, we fix the feet, take the baby to a safe position and press it against us. We reduce his legs together to the position of "butterfly". We start to make attacks to the right and to the left. The main thing is to monitor your breathing.
  2. From the IP of the previous exercise, we turn to the right. We make pulsating attacks forward so that on exhalation the right leg bends to 90⁰, and the left one stretches out in length. We execute 10 - 12 times. Turn around and do the other way.
  3. We pass to the supine position. Kids love this exercise, we'll call it a "flight." With the help of "flight" we will strengthen the tummy baby and its press. The back is on the floor, we press the shoulders, the legs are bent at the knees and are torn off the floor. The child lies on his knees, with his hands hold. We press our feet to ourselves and from ourselves.
  4. The knees bent at the knees are lowered to the floor. The child is sitting on his stomach, resting his back on the hips. We lift the pelvis up and lower it down.
  5. And in the end you can just lie down, laying beside the baby, and relax.
