Preparation

Peeled potatoes are chopped or cut into slices no thicker than 2.5 mm. Gently place the slices in a bowl of cold water, for 10 minutes, let the excess starch go. Then we wash the slices and put them on a clean napkin and slightly adhere. After 5 minutes, turn, add and wait for 5 more minutes.

We set the baking sheet with foil, brush the surface with olive oil, top the slices of potatoes, smear them and put them on top. We place the baking tray in the oven warmed up in advance. Bake to the desired degree of browning. Before removing the chips from the baking tray, wait for about 10 minutes, then gently put them into the serving bowl.

While chips are cooling down, we prepare a sauce, for example, a hot tomato.

Slightly diluted with water tomato paste, seasoned with chopped garlic, ground coriander and hot red pepper. The sauce can be filtered, which, however, is not necessary. We serve ready potato chips with chelade (Mexican drink - cool light beer with a slice of lemon or lime in a glass). We put the chips into the sauce, have a snack with pleasure, wash it down with a jelade.
