How to make a passport to a child under 14 years in Russia?
Practically in every city of the Russian Federation there is a Department of the Federal Migration Service. This is where parents should apply to the issue of issuing a passport to a child under 14 years of age. Naturally, you need to have the necessary documents with you:
- a copy notarized by the notary and the original of the child 's birth certificate (must be accompanied with the liner on which the citizenship is indicated);
- copies of parents' passports;
- 4 high-quality photos in the size 3,5х4,5;
- a receipt for tax payment;
- 2 photos of parents.
On the spot in two copies a special form is filled in. By the way, the application form can be submitted through the Internet, but in order to avoid mistakes and unforeseen situations, it is better to record all the documentation personally.
As a rule, it takes about 30 days to apply for a passport to a child under 14 years of age. In rare cases, the procedure is stretched to 4 months. In emergency situations (death of close relatives or urgent departure for treatment) the process of registration can be speeded up by submitting appropriate documentary evidence.
It is worth noting that the passport of a minor citizen is valid for 5 years.
Also, parents need to know that instead of an old passport, a child has the right to get a biometric card equipped with a special chip that will contain more complete information about its owner.
How to make a passport to a child in Ukraine?
To go on a trip abroad with a minor child (under 18), citizens of Ukraine also need to worry in advance about the passport for their offspring. For this you need to prepare such documents:
- the original and notarized copy of the birth certificate or passport (after 16 years);
- identification code (if available);
- copies of parents' passports;
two photos the size 3,5х4,5 and one - 10х15 (to children is more senior 12 years).
With the above list of documents, parents need:
- apply to the district department of the Main Directorate of the State Migration Service;
- on the spot to fill out a special questionnaire.
If only one parent applied for the filing of documents, then it is necessary to provide a notarized consent to the passport for the child from the second parent.
