Cages for quails with their own hands

We suggest you collect a cage for quails with your own hands, designed for simultaneous maintenance of 200 birds. The height of the whole structure is almost 2 meters, the width is 1 meter, the depth of each individual cell is 50 centimeters. On the front part will be the egg receptacles and feeders for the convenience of breeding quails . In all there will be 50 cells, in each of which there will be 40 individuals. At once we will make a reservation, that such sizes of a cage for quail can be changed by your parameters.

What is required?

Tools will need a screwdriver, scissors for cutting metal, a marker, a roulette cascade.

We begin to collect:

  1. Of the three-centimeter profile makes the base of the entire structure, for which you can only use screws, without drilling.
  2. Then, along the front of the future bird cage, you need to attach the guides for the floors and ceilings with your own hands, which will also serve as the basis for the pallets. The guides must be fixed in such a way that the ceiling is level, and half-inclined.
  3. From a grid with a large cell cut a piece of this size so that they can close the back and top of the rack. A bit of the top grid should be "swept" forward, as the door of the upper cage will then be attached to it.
  4. From the same grid, you need to cut 5 equal pieces, which then attach to the ceiling guides. This should be done with plastic ties, while the edges of the grid should also hang slightly from the front of the rack.
  5. From the grid with a smaller cell, you also need to cut 5 pieces, making them cutouts under the frame and bending the edges, making the egg collection. These blanks must be screwed to the floor guides, for which wire and plastic ties are used.
  6. From the large-mesh net we cut out the side walls, fasten them to the frame with the help of plastic and screw ties. They also need to adjust the floor.
  7. To make the doors you need a grid with a thick rod. From it we cut out 5 identical pieces, the size of which is 100 x 15 (+ "shoots"). See "Screws". We screw the doors to the overlapping parts of ceilings of each level, then we bend the doors, leaving room for rolling eggs. The fence is fixed by a pair of bent wires.
  8. We cut out pallets from galvanized sheet.
  9. From the eight-centimeter profile, we cut the feeders, which are also fastened with wire.
  10. Drinkers are made from those same plastic bottles with a capacity of 2 liters. We also fix them with wire.
  11. The finished rack has this kind of look.

Let us note that such quail cells with their own hands are distinguished by the simplicity of the work, the relative cheapness and ease of the entire structure. The grid is bought not by a whole roll, but by the necessary footage, and screws and screws can not harm the bird. It is not necessary to save on a thinner grid for the floor, since the quail, though running perfectly on it, but then they will have problems with the paws.

Before you make a cage with your own hands, you need to stock up all the materials, which will significantly speed up the work. The manufacture of the entire structure can go from one to a couple of days, which depends on the degree of skill and the availability of free time. It can be used for many years, but for this you need to buy quality building materials and fasteners.
