The legendary German dog, a favorite breed of aristocrats and the star of many Hollywood movies - all this is about the Doberman dog breed. These animals rarely leave people indifferent, since their appearance and character are so bright that they are instantly imprinted in memory. This graceful dog, whose body corresponds to the ideal proportions, has an excellent developed musculature, but at the same time it does not have massiveness and rudeness. Her character is no less amazing - maliciousness and quickness towards outsiders, contrasts with good nature and peaceableness towards her family. In the end, it turns out a kind of angel with a demonic appearance.
Breed description
The Doberman dog standard was adopted in 1990 and since then the criteria have remained the same. There are several key points:
- height at withers: 63 to 72 cm, weight 32-45 kg (depending on the sex);
- muzzle: well developed muscles on the head, a well-marked transition from the forehead to the muzzle;
- ears: vertical stand, high set;
- physique: muscular loin, tucked up abdomen, pronounced musculature of limbs;
- wool and color: rigid dense wool of black or dark brown color, light markings and white marks are allowed.
Character
This dog really has a fierce temper and quick reaction. Thanks to these qualities, the Doberman became a suitable candidate for police service and protection of a private home . However, the natural ferocity of an animal extends only to potential enemies and it can be learned to control, unlike fighters . In the family, the Doberman is peace-loving and moderate in everything. He is affectionately attached to the children and respects all members of the family. Dobermans are devoid of obstinacy and harm, they always want to benefit the owner. There is inherent in the state of alertness, they are always on the alert and ready for protection.
