After processing in the ventricle, the nectar passes to the next stage of transformation into honey. The bee-receiver pushes her proboscis down and forth, thus releasing and hiding a drop of nectar. This procedure, she does about 130 times. After that, the bee finds a free wax cell and gently places a drop there. But honey does not work in this way, as nectar still needs to be enriched with enzymes and remove excess moisture from it.

How does honey work?
