But why does Easter bake cakes? It turns out that the Easter cake has its own history, or, more accurately, the legend. According to him, after his resurrection, Jesus Christ appeared to the apostles during meals. His place at the table remained unoccupied, and in the center of the table lay bread for him. First there was a tradition for Easter to leave bread on the special table in the temple, and then the Easter cake became a symbol of the holiday and it was baked in every house.

Milk, butter, salt and 100 g of sugar are heated until all the ingredients are dissolved, not boiling. In a bucket pour 400 g of flour and yeast, add a warm mixture and knead the dough, launching the appropriate program. We leave the dough in a warm place for 1-1.5 hours.

Separate the proteins from the yolks. Yolks weighed with turmeric and 50 grams of sugar, and whites with citric acid and the remaining sugar beat into a thick foam. Approached the dough again, stirring, adding the prepared yolks. If the dough does not mix and adhere to the bottom of the bucket, then you can add a couple of tablespoons of flour. After the yolks are mixed, we interrupt the program and start again to add proteins. The bucket should be covered with a towel, so that the spray does not fly in the kitchen.

Raisins mix with vanillin and flour (if necessary), add to the dough and mix again. After it is well etched, let it come in a warm place for about 1.5 hours.

The top of the dough, which has risen by 2/3 of the dishes, is lubricated with oil. We start the baking program for one hour. If necessary, leave a little more, if you want a more ruddy crust.

To decorate the cake, whisk the egg white protein into a firm foam, then add sugar (sugar powder) until the glaze turns out. We pour the top of the cake and sprinkle it with colored powder.
