How to wash tulle from greyness?

In order to beautifully decorate the window openings, many acquire tulle . But this beautiful snow-white fabric has the property over time to turn gray or yellowish even with good care. Let's find out how to deal with this problem.

Several ways to wash the gray tulle

  1. The use of bleach is the simplest, though not the best, method. The fact is that tulle is made from very thin threads, which bleaches can easily damage. That is why with the frequent use of such aggressive means, tiny holes will soon appear on the tulle, which, of course, is unacceptable. Therefore, it is desirable to use bleach only once.
  2. In order to wash tulle from greyness, many, as a rule, use folk remedies. For example, exposure to such a tissue of hydrogen peroxide is no less effective than factory bleaches. Simply soak the tulle in a solution of 2 tablespoons of peroxide, mixed with 1 teaspoon of ammonia, adding hot water. After 20 minutes rinse the tulle and hang it for drying. However, when using this method, the type of tissue should be considered: if it is synthetic, then it is better not to take hot water, limiting itself to warm water.
  3. If hydrogen peroxide does not help, try bleaching kapron tulle with salt. You can soak the curtains overnight in a solution of hot water, powder and 2-3 tablespoons of salt, and in the morning wash it, or leave the net tulle for 20 minutes in warm salt water, and then hang it for drying, without rinsing. Salt for bleaching the fabric is needed stone, not "Extra".
  4. Similarly, you can use a soda salt instead of a saline solution - sometimes this method helps to wash the gray tulle, both synthetic and natural. This method is especially good for kitchen curtains, which have acquired a gray shade from fat, dust and soot.
  5. Already clean, washed tulle can be given a snow-white and even a slightly bluish shade with the help of green. It must be well dissolved (10 drops in a glass of water) and poured into a rinse tank. Then wring out the tulle without twisting it, and let the water drain.
  6. But in any case, do not mix the green with soda or hydrogen peroxide, because you run the risk of getting the opposite effect, irrevocably ruining the tulle.
  7. A good, effective tool is the addition of a cap of blue in the conditioner compartment of the washing machine .
