Minimalism

Creating his sculptures, the great Michelangelo said: "I take a stone and cut off all that is superfluous." Perhaps, it was Buonarroti that started the style of minimalism, at least - it sounded his principle. Today, not Renaissance, but in the design, interior and fashion from time to time gaining momentum minimalist trends. We want to take a break from obsessive accessories and colorful colors, from kilograms of lace and folds. I want to discard all unnecessary details and give myself entirely to the most essential. This is the philosophy of minimalism.

Minimalism in clothes

Minimalism in the interior - a laconic combination of simple shapes and lines, minimalism in clothing implies the absence of a showy chic and luxury. The number of accessories, decorations and decor elements is close to zero. The cut models are designed to emphasize the silhouette and slightly pull it up. Among the styles of clothing in the style of minimalism, you can include a pencil skirt, office blouse (fitted), dress case, business suit, pullover, turtleneck, jeans (classical coloring without scuffs and patterns). Armed with good taste, from these things you can create countless interesting images.

Minimalism does not tolerate variegated colors - only muted shades, however, modern designers have taken into account the preferences of the luminous lover. Now minimalism is not limited to black, white and pastel gamma - we can afford a juicy red, fiery yellow, hot orange. Condition one: the color should be monochrome.

Among fabrics prevail cloths from natural raw materials. Shoes in the style of minimalism, like clothes, do not tolerate pretentiousness. Traditional boats without a single bow or braid are an example of how a minimalist lady should be trained. In general, this style does not focus on quantity, but on quality: it's better to have a simple blouse, but branded and 100% cotton, than an elaborate synthetic blouse trimmed with rhinestones and lace. Better one is a discreet suspension, than half a kilogram of chains and beads.

This style has no limitations either on age or on social status, nevertheless, minimalism and simplicity create certain frameworks in which not everyone will feel comfortable. This laconicism is suitable for women who give clothes a minimum of value and are confident in their irresistibility and success regardless of the contents of the dressing room. Those who are accustomed to gain attention with their appearance, minimalism in clothing is contraindicated.

Minimalism in world trends

The principle of minimalism is practiced in many countries and not only in the fashion field. For example, Eastern minimalism, and in particular Japanese - the whole philosophy, which is the cornerstone of the mentality of the inhabitants of the country of the rising sun, where there is an essence, and there is no secondary tinsel. Presuming this style and the Nordic people - Scandinavian minimalism rules the ball not only in the interior, it obliges to observe simplicity and restraint in clothes, manners and feelings. European minimalism is a kind of artificial phenomenon. It arose as an attempt to escape from bored pretentiousness. Completely abandon the luxury elements Europeans failed, so there was a completely new trend: glamorous minimalism, which implies all the same restraint, but diluted with accessories and decor elements. The icons of the style of glamorous minimalism can rightfully be called Princess Diana and Marlene Dietrich.

Today, the trend of simplicity and restraint is again in vogue. Collection "autumn-winter 2012/13" from Calvin Klein - a vivid example of this. The designer, who grew up in one of the poorest districts of New York, knows firsthand that pretentiousness and luxury in clothes are not the key to success. The collection completely corresponds to the worldview of the creator: minimalism 2013 is an exquisite combination of black, metallic and gray in satin dresses, silk tuxedos and cashmere sweaters. Extravagance, emphasized by simplicity and conciseness, is the business card of Calvin Klein.
