When the summer is hot in the courtyard, in the kindergarten and school holidays, and children are bored at home - it's time to invite them to do needlework! One of the options than taking a child five years at home, are various handicrafts.
In addition, often parents of toddlers, kindergartners give tasks - all sorts of thematic crafts for the holidays. We suggest you to learn how to make a snowman from a burnt out bulb that will come in handy for you on New Year's Eve . Usually crafts with children 4-5 years old are made by moms and dads, but the children themselves need to be involved in creativity in order to develop their fine motor skills and imagination.

Let's get down to work:
- Take a conventional incandescent light bulb - burnt out or new.
- Paint it with white paint. Use gouache, acrylic or water-based paint for interior work.
- From the cardboard box, cut out a small figure of such a curved shape.
- Glue its vertical edges - you will get a cardboard bucket that will act as a snowman's cap. Do not forget to glue the bottom to the bucket. It's easier to do this: first glue the walls of the bucket to a flat square of cardboard, and when the glue dries, cut off excess.
- Then paint the container in any color - for example, blue.
- The joint of the cardboard is best placed from the rear of the toy, but you can do it differently, decorating it with artificial snow from the manga.
- Lubricate the base of the lamp with glue and fix on it a bucket of cardboard.
- While the glue dries up, you can draw a snowman's eyes. To do this, you need a very thin brush and acrylic paints, or you can use the usual gel pen.
- Apply to the joint of cardboard and on the ends of the bottom of the glue PVA.
- And, until it is dry, thickly top with semolina.
- A carrot spout for a snowman can be made from plasticine or from paper. If you chose the second option, prepare a small strip of orange paper 1 cm wide.
- Twist it as shown in the photo.
- Carefully glue the edge of the strip to the resulting tube and put it in its place. That the spout well kept, it is possible to take advantage of an adhesive thermo-pistol.
- To the lower, convex part of the light bulb, glue three buttons - they can be replaced with rhinestones or sequins. Decorate the same decor with a snowman's hat.
- All these actions in the process of making crafts with a child of 5 years at home baby can perform with your help. But the next stage - to crochet a warm scarf, so that the snowman does not freeze - will have to do already to my mother.
- Type a chain of air loops of the necessary length, then unfold the knitting and the 2nd row knit with a single crochet. When knitting in two strands of this width, the scarf is enough.
- Throw a scarf around the snowman's neck (just above the spot where the bulb starts to expand), and fix it with a drop of glue. If the scarf turned out to be longer than in the photo, you can not glue it, but simply tie it. If you do not know how or do not want to knit a scarf, you can simply use a strip of cloth instead.
- The handicraft can be mounted on a stand or suspended on a loop.
Until the New Year, you can have time to decorate a lot of burned bulbs. And then on the holiday you will decorate the Christmas tree with not bought ones, but homemade hand-made articles, which are quite possible for a 5-year-old child.
