Potatoes with pork lard - it's not too useful for those wishing to build, but very tasty. So sometimes you can still afford something like that. We will consider that it is not useful to fry in principle, it is much better to bake.

Baked potatoes with bacon are a healthy, nutritious and even useful dish especially for those who are engaged in physical work, practice fitness, and also during the period of active growth of the body, that is, up to 25 years. Still such food is very good for cold days.

Toothpicks fill in a cup of cold water - let them get wet well. We peel the potatoes and place them in a bowl of water, rinse it and put it on a clean napkin - dry it. Young potatoes can not be cleaned, then just wash the potatoes well.

Lubricate abundantly with lard (a piece on a fork or overheated lard) a slightly warmed baking sheet. We cut each potato in half and put the halves on the baking sheet flat side up. For each half of potatoes lay a flat slice of fat suitable size. We fix this construction with a toothpick, stuck it in the center. In principle, you can do without toothpicks, but, for example, for buffet meals is more convenient with toothpicks, because you can eat without a fork.

From potatoes with bacon it is possible to build "boats", using a half of potatoes as if as a hull, a slice of fat - as a sail, and a skewer - as a mast. "Boats" on the buffet table look very impressive. Bake potatoes with bacon in the oven until cooked (according to experience, it is not less than 40 minutes and not more than 60 depending on the temperature and design of the particular oven). Potatoes, baked with bacon, served with fresh herbs, it is desirable to sprinkle it with garlic water (we will make it at the very beginning of cooking: 2 cloves of garlic will be poured through a manual press and we will insist in 150 ml of water, before straining we strain through a strainer). You can squeeze out a little mayonnaise for each potato, just not too much, the dish and so it turns out to be fat enough. To baked potatoes with bacon it is good to serve salads from fresh vegetables or traditional pickles (cucumbers, cabbage, mushrooms and others).

It is desirable to eat this dish without bread - carbohydrates and so it is quite enough in potatoes.

This recipe is good for realization not only in a city apartment, but also excellent for picnics: potatoes can be baked in burnt-out cools, for example, left after cooking shish kebabs.

Potatoes are thoroughly washed and, without peeling, cut each in half. We put a slice of bacon between two halves of potatoes and carefully pack in foil. If you plan to bake a stove in hot ash it is better to wrap in two layers, because each of the packaged potatoes must be "buryed" in hot ash. Bake for about 1 hour. Potato with lard prepared in this way can be served as an independent dish or with meat, with soup, with baked fish, mushrooms, vegetables, pickles and greens. For 1 serving count at least 3-5 potatoes, outdoor appetite is always better.
