What payments are made to pregnant women in 2014 in Russia?

Federal children's benefits, their changes, appointments and payments are regulated by the Federal Laws "On Additional Measures for State Support to Families with Children", "On Benefits for Citizens with Children", and the Presidential Decree "On Measures to Implement Russia's Demographic Policy." These laws for 2014 provide for such types of payments to children:

  1. Lump-sum payment to pregnant women.
  2. Monthly payments for child care.
  3. Regional programs taking into account the birth of the third and subsequent children.

In 2014, the amounts of payments were indexed by 5%, compared to 2013 and are as follows:

Payments to pregnant women in 2015 will also be subject to indexation.

There was an increase in the age of the child, from 1.5 to 3 years, until the achievement of which the mother will receive a monthly allowance.

What payments are made to working pregnant women? In addition to all of the above, the maternity allowance is paid from the place of work. In 2014, this benefit is calculated only in one way - for calculation, the average wage for the last two working years is taken. Deduct those days in which the woman did not work. Next, divide by 730 and multiply by the period of maternity leave. Maternity leave in Russia lasts for 140 calendar days (70 days before delivery and 70 days after). In the case of complicated delivery, postpartum leave can last up to 86 days, and if there was a multiple pregnancy, the total duration is 194 days (84 and 110 days respectively).

Payments to pregnant women who are not working in 2014, according to the law, are all, including the allowance for pregnancy and childbirth. To do this, you need to register at the employment center of your district. In this case, to calculate the payment instead of wages, the amount of social unemployment benefits is taken.

Payments to pregnant women in Ukraine in 2014.

According to Art. 179 Labor Code of Ukraine, art. 8 of the "Law on State Assistance to Families with Children" and Art. 17 Memorandum of Understanding "On Leaves" provides for the following types of payments:

  1. Maternity benefits. It is calculated on the way out to maternity leave and is paid in 100% of the amount calculated from the average monthly wage. In Art. 179 of the Labor Code of Ukraine set the deadline for maternity leave and are 126 calendar days, of which 70 days before delivery and 56 after childbirth. This period can be increased by 16 days if the birth was with complications or if more than one child was born. In 2014, no changes are expected.

    In Ukraine, as in Russia, an unemployed pregnant woman is entitled to all types of benefits, including maternity benefits (if she is registered with the Employment Center before the 30th week of pregnancy).

  2. Allowance for the birth of a child. Payment is carried out in 2 stages: a one-time payment fixed in the law. And the remaining part of the benefit is paid in equal installments during the entire payment period. Until June 30, 2014 inclusive, the size of payments increased at the birth of the second and third child.
  3. Allowance for the care of a child up to 3 years. Monthly paid in the amount of 130 hryvnia until the child reaches three years.

But from July 1, 2014, the innovations came into force, and the allowance at the birth of the child is now unified for all, in the amount of 41280 UAH. And also canceled the payment of child care for up to three years, and added to a one-time allowance. At the same time, 10320 UAH will be paid once, and the remaining amount - 860 UAH per month for three years.
