Patties with cabbage and egg

Many peoples of eastern Europe prepare cabbage patties in their own way, but, as a rule, recipes are similar: cabbage and onions are fried in large quantities of oil and supplemented with greens and chopped eggs. Patties with cabbage and eggs come out very nutritious, have a rich taste and a varied texture.

There are only two ways of preparing already shaped pies: baking and roasting. If you are against a lot of oil for deep-frying, in which the dough is prepared, then choose for yourself a much simpler and traditional method of baking the dough in the oven. In this recipe, we will knead the dough based on a mixture of whole grains and normal peeled wheat flour, but you can only use the latter.

Preparation

Dissolve the yeast in half a glass of slightly sweetened water. When the surface is covered with a frothy cap, pour the yeast to the flour mixture, add the egg and butter. Knead the dough until it becomes smooth and elastic to the touch (the longer the kneading - the more puffy pies). Next, cover the dishes with a damp cloth and leave in the heat for an hourly proof.

During this time, you can easily have time to prepare the filling. The most delicious and delicate filling for pies with cabbage and eggs is obtained from young cabbage, which is allowed on a warmed up butter with onion until soft, season and flavor with chopped greens. Boiled eggs should be finely chopped and added to the cabbage mixture. After mixing, the filling is cooled.

Dividing the dough, round the portions and flatten each palm. Put the filling in the center, pull the edges together and fasten them together. Leave the pies for a second proof for an hour, then bake for 25 minutes at 180 degrees.

Mix all components of the dough with a mixer until they form a single coma. Leave the dough in the heat for proofing, and then grasp the filling. Let the chopped cabbage leaves until softening, pour in the milk, put the thyme and bring everything to the ready. Mix the stewed cabbage with chopped boiled eggs.

Approached the dough, cut into portions of the desired size, roll each one into a disc and lay the filling in the center. Fix the edges.

Heat the oil deep-fried or pour a couple of centimeters directly into the frying pan. Fry the patties with fresh cabbage and egg until browned on both sides.
