An amazing structure, recognized today to be one of the oldest in Sweden, according to researchers, was built in the XI-XII century. and is named after the beautiful city of Linkoping (South-East Sweden). The castle is on a hill, to the west of the city center, near the Cathedral. The territory on which the attraction is located in the Middle Ages belonged to the famous dynasty of the Sverkers (one of the two dominant clans of Sweden in 1130-1250), and the main building of the complex was the residence of the bishop.
