Tuzla Airport

Tuzla International Airport is the only airport in Tuzla in Bosnia and Herzegovina . It is both a civilian and a military airfield.

Tuzla Airport was considered one of the largest military airports in the former Yugoslavia. In the first year of the war of 1992-1995. it was begun to be controlled by peacekeepers, and in 1996 became the main airport of the regional peacekeepers' unit in Bosnia and Herzegovina. For civil aviation, Tuzla airport was opened in autumn 1998. Now the airfield serves both commercial passenger raiders and general aviation aircraft. The passenger turnover in 2015 was 259 thousand people, which is 71% more than in 2014.
