How do I make a TV cabinet with my own hands?

Materials and devices

To make a TV cabinet for us, we need to purchase the following materials:

• a wide board for the countertop or an array of glued beams with a thickness of 30 mm;
• an array or a board 20 mm thick, from which we will make shelves;
• a wooden bar;
• screws.

How to make a simple TV cabinet with your own hands?

1. We cut out of the wooden beam (it is best to take a bar with a thickness of 80 to 30 mm) six legs of the future pedestal. From a thinner bar (30 by 30 mm) we cut out the longitudinal parts, which will fasten the legs together. Now it is necessary to collect two identical workpieces of the cabinet with the help of screws and a screwdriver.
2. From an array of 20 mm thick, we cut out two identical pieces for 158 cm shelves and process them to smoothness with a planer and a nest. We fix the shelves with screws with leg blanks.
3. From a bar of the same thickness that was used to make the legs, we cut five pieces 28 cm long for the pedestal. They will add additional rigidity to the structure.
4. We connect crossed with the feet of screws or furniture bolts (TV stand with TV own hands 5).
5. From the beam thickness of 30 to 30 mm cut out two blanks for jumpers, which will be located at the level of the upper shelf. We fix them with screws screwed at an angle of 45 °.
6. We make two crossings from a bar thickness of 50 to 50 mm. Here it is very important to correctly calculate the angle of intersection of the crosses and its connection to the pedestal legs (TV stand under the TV 7, 8)
7. We twist the crossings and frame of the curbstone.
8. It remains only to attach to the table top . For her, we use an array of glued wood, a fairly wide board or several boards connected together. The worktop must be thoroughly sanded. Mount it with the same screws or special glue for wood.
9. The TV stand is ready for TV. It remains to cover it with varnish, dye or use other methods of decoration.
