Preparatory stage

First you need to align the wall. For this, prepare a composition of sand and cement. To work it was easier to use the beacon profiles, which will control the thickness of the application of the composition. Beacons should be set on a level at a distance of 10-15 cm. Between them you need to throw in a solution, trying to evenly distribute it on the wall.

4-5 hours after leveling start grouting. For this, you can use a wooden poluter or a grater. Rub in circular motions. This will ensure the alignment of the wall and remove all defects.

A dry, even wall will form a good basis for plastering.

Technology of plastering Bark beetle

All the plastering work will be performed in several stages:

  1. Preparation of the mixture . In a clean dry bucket or basin, pour the required volume of water at a temperature of 17-20 degrees (the volume of liquid is specified in the instructions). In the water, slowly pour dry composition, continuously stirring the resulting mixture with a low-speed drill / mixer. When the composition becomes uniform, leave it for half an hour in a closed container. Then mix the mixture again.
  2. Advice: do not add water to the mixture, as this will result in the dissolution of the plaster. The ready-to-use formulation must be used within 3 hours.
  3. Application of the composition . Use a grater or spatula to apply plaster, holding the tool at a slope of 60 degrees to the wall. Form a layer of 2-3 mm, depending on the diameter of the largest grains. The furrow pattern will be obtained by rubbing the pebbles against the wall.
  4. Tip : Depending on the movement of the spatula, the relief of the pattern will change. If you want the structure to be spiral, then rub the surface in a circular motion. Horizontal and longitudinal grooves will be obtained from top to bottom and from right to left, respectively.

  5. Coloring . After drying, boldly go to the painting. To do this, use acrylic (require 14 days of drying) or silicate (three days drying) paint.

Tip : Stain the plastered wall with a roller with a thick pile of medium length, soaking it well with paint. Otherwise, the viscous paint will flow into the furrows, and then accumulate on the plane.

As you can see, the Bark beetle is easy to apply with plaster. This will require a little patience and a great desire to do the best repair in the world.

Important points

Experienced builders recommend purchasing plaster from one batch in one outlet. Otherwise, you can get discrepancies in the composition and diameter of the pebbles, and this can affect the final result.

During the application it is recommended not to take breaks, as the edges of the plaster will be allocated on the wall.
