How to install PVC window sill yourself?
Necessary tools and materials:

Stages of work:
Saw a window sill in view of the size of the opening and the depth of the slopes . As a rule, there is always a battery under the window. According to the norms, the PVC window sill is installed in such a way that it protrudes beyond the window opening. Dimensions of the protrusions on both sides are 40 mm. - Determine the width of the window sill, taking into account the possible deviation of the angles from the value of 90 °. Then we measure the distance along the frame and between the external angles of the slopes.

- We make grooves on the slopes for the window sill. For a neat cut, we use a Bulgarian, then a chisel and a hammer.
- We saw out the window sill, taking into account the possible adjustment of the part.
- We cut the side plugs. To do this, they need to be dressed and sawed.
- We put the window sill in the grooves.
- We expose the window sill with the help of wedges (plastic or wooden bars), which are inserted from the bottom of the product. To do this, use the level at the edges and center. Correct installation of the PVC window sill includes its inclination towards the room by 3 or 4 °.
- Carefully remove the window sill, clean the installation site of dust, moisten it and apply a primer to the surface.
- We install the window sill in place and make a space under it in such a way that there will be no crevices from previous installation works. Blow the mounting foam from the calculation, so that it was enough, but not too much, since it is capable of lifting the load.
- We put the load on the sill to protect it from the effects of foam. It is advisable to do this in places where wedges are inserted. You can use the spacers.
Leave the window sill for a day. The side caps are worn in the last turn. After 24 hours, excess foam can be cut and puttyed working areas.
