Wooden furniture was and remains a classic, accompanying us everywhere. Both in the apartment and at the dacha, an armchair made of solid wood, also made by own hands, will become an ornament of the interior and a convenient place for relaxation with a cup of tea and an interesting book.
Armchair in wood with armrests
In our master class, we show how from the improvised materials, which we usually neglect, you can make your own chair from wood with your own hands. We are talking about wooden pallets, which often come across in different situations, but which we consider garbage. However, recently furniture from pallets is becoming incredibly popular.
So, we need two square pallets. Or, if the pallet is rectangular, you need to cut it into two equal parts. One of them will be a seat, the other a back.
We connect the backrest and the seat and fix them together with boards on two sides, which are also our future rear legs from the chair. These boards should be long enough to cover the length of the backrest and still raise the seat to a certain height.

The next stage of manufacturing a chair made of wood by own hands is the construction of armrests and front legs. First we nail two boards - the front legs. They must act on the seat at the height you want to see the future armrests.
To them and to the back we nail the armrests. You can make them even, but at will you can make them figured. To do this, use a jigsaw and a jig saw. In our case, we leave them straight.
To protect the wood from external moisture, open it with varnish. You can paint it, decorate it in any way.
On this, our rather simple chair made of wood, made by own hands, is ready. It will find a place in the garden, on the veranda , or in the apartment if your interior is designed in the loft style .
