Homemade ham

Usually ham is made from pork, as well as from turkey and chicken. In the industrial production of this meat product, various unused chemical additives can be used.

You can, however, and at home make a delicious ham (no additives), let's talk about how to do it. So, go to the store for meat, choose only fresh unfrozen.

Any recipes for making hams at home assume either the use of ham (this is such a simple kitchen device in the form of a cylinder with a spring press), or handy tools, for example, used plastic bottles.

Meat cut into small pieces (as in pilaf) and cook with the addition of onions and spices, water should not be much. Small pieces of turkey meat are cooked until ready in about 1 hour, and chicken meat - for 30 minutes, so we lay it later, in the process. It is even better to cook in separate saucepans, and then combine.

Bulb and bay leaf is thrown away, we take out meat with a noise and throw it back in a colander or sieve.

Bouillon season with garlic and lemon juice, pour Madeira, cool to warm, filter. We make gelatin in a small part of the broth (1 sachet - per cup). In principle, turkey broth (and cock meat) is perfectly gelled in itself, if you cook only from chicken, you still need to add gelatin.

We cut olives in circles. A small amount of broth is mixed with meat and sliced ​​olives.

If you use a ham, then everything is simple: fill the mass with the working part, set the springs to tension and place them in the refrigerator on the pallet (for draining excess liquid).

In a simpler version, take the used clean plastic bottle (1.5, -2 liters), cut off the top and fill the rest with cooked ham. You can set the yoke, for example, a standard glass bottle with water capacity of 0.5-0.7 liters. We put it in the refrigerator until it is surely solidified. After about 5-8 hours, cut the plastic and remove the ready-made ham. It can now be cut into slices and served to the table.
