Fortress Tronconer


The Trekroner fort is one of three fortresses in the sea, built on artificial islands located at the entrance to the port of Copenhagen . The name of the fortress is translated as "Three Crowns", and its history began in 1786.

The Treknerer Fortress was built for the defense of Denmark from the sea and for a long time served successfully as intended, but eventually became abandoned.

In 1984 the Department of Culture Trekroner fort was redeemed, and the restoration began in the fort, which resulted in the restoration of bastions, casemates and other fortress buildings. Trekroner fort in Copenhagen was made free for tourists, built observation platforms from which you can enjoy the sea views, opened a cafe.

How to get there?

The Treknerer Fortress is located in the sea, so you can get here only on a tourist ship, the departure of which occurs every 40 minutes. Visit the Trekroner fort can be visited every day from 10.00 to 18.00 hours.
