How did the cliffs of Myons Clint form?
The cliffs of Myons Clint began to form about 75 million years ago. A huge number of dead shellfish behind the formation formed a chalky layer on the ocean floor. Over time, this chalk began to increase in size. Approximately one million years ago, in the Ice Age, as a result of the movement of giant glaciers, the limestone layer shifted. And the cliffs of Mons Clint appeared. Over the past five millennia, ocean waves and climate have formed a chalky massif, the highest point of which reaches 128 meters above the level of the Baltic Sea.

The white cliffs of Myons Clint stretch along the entire coast of the island of Myeon for several kilometers.
