Potato pancakes with meat are a dish of Belarusian cuisine. Sometimes it is called dranics. It is a potato pancake with a filling of meat (most often pork) stuffing. The dish is very tasty and satisfying, and therefore popular not only in Belarus, but also in Ukraine, Russia, Moldova and other Eastern European countries. In the Jewish kitchen, ground-pods are also one of the favorite dishes (of course, meat is not pork, but, for example, veal, chicken or turkey).

How to cook a turtle without meat?

Potatoes are peeled and rubbed on a medium grater. Then to the received weight add chicken eggs (at the rate of 1 egg for 4-5 potatoes of medium size) and a small amount of wheat flour. Everything is thoroughly mixed and can be cooked (without minced meat).

How to make a deruny? We heat the vegetable oil or pork fat in a frying pan (you can cover a hot frying pan with a piece of lard). We form a large spoon with a spoon. Fry from both sides. Of course, it is better to use fat or fat - then potato cutlets will rather be baked than roasted, and this method of heat treatment of products is preferable.

Then again lay a layer of potato paste and put on the edges. Fry from both sides. It turns out a flat, round potato patty with meat stuffing. Serve with ground meat, usually with sour cream.

Deruny can be served to the table immediately, taking off the frying pan, or you can cook them in pots (of course, for this recipe they should be small). Let's cut a piece of fat into cracklings. In a frying pan, dredge the fat to half and fry the finely chopped onions and mushrooms. Put a little of this mixture into each clay pot. Next, we put in it 2-3 ready-made peas, and on top 1-2 spoons of sour cream. We put pots in the oven for 20 minutes, then immediately served, and right in the pots.
