Preparation

Dried fruits should be washed with running water. If you are not sure if there is no treatment with chemicals, then hot water from the kettle. Next prunes put the minutes on 10 in boiling water, then remove the bones.

All the dried fruits prepared in this way are placed in a pan, or better - in a ceramic container and poured with steep boiling water. Cover with a lid and leave in a cool place for 4-8 hours. Then bring to a boil over medium heat and boil for 3 minutes, no more. If you cook longer, you will inevitably lose in usefulness, because with long heat treatment at a temperature above 85 degrees C, many useful substances contained in dried fruits are destroyed.

If possible, it is better to place a pan with infusion of dried fruits (together with them) in a water bath for 20 minutes. By acting in such ways, we will get a really useful compote of raisins and / or other dried fruits. When the temperature of the finished compote is below 30-40 degrees, you can add honey or sugar to it. Sugar can also be added to hot compote, but honey generates harmful substances when heated. Adding lemon juice will give the compote a pleasant sourness.
