Carbamide fertilizer

At present, it is difficult to imagine the cultivation of garden, garden and flower crops without fertilizers. Carbamide (urea) - an organic compound containing nitrogen in its composition, is a granule of white, gray or slightly yellow. Recently, fertilizer can be purchased in the form of tablets, thanks to the long-soluble coating, when it enters the soil, it dissolves slowly, which eliminates the excessive nitration of the crop and soil. Urea is the most concentrated of nitrogen fertilizers, when mixed with soil, it is transformed under the influence of soil microorganisms into ammonium carbonate.

In normal growth and development of plants, nitrogen is of decisive importance, since it is directly related to the construction of molecules and is a part of vegetable protein. The way of using urea

In air, ammonium carbonate decomposes rapidly, so the superficial use of urea is ineffective. Experienced agricultural technicians, responding to the question of how to use urea, give an unambiguous answer: fertilizer should be used in conditions of protected soil. Nitrogen upon application must immediately be embedded in the soil in order to prevent the loss of gaseous ammonia.

Norms for the introduction of urea

It is important for novice growers to know what application carbamide finds in the garden. Fertilizer is universal, it can be used for top dressing of all crops with a long growing season. Before planting vegetable and berry crops, granules are introduced directly into the soil: 5 - 12 g of fertilizer per 1 m². For top dressing of developing plants 20 - 30 g of carbamide is diluted in 10 liters of water. Under the tree bearing carbamide, crowns are introduced into the ground along the entire projection. About 200 g of urea are used under the apple tree, and 120 grams for cherry and plum.

Important: carbamide acidifies the soil, therefore, in order to neutralize the acid, limestone is recommended: 800 g of ground limestone per 1000 g of urea.

Foliar dressing with carbamide

At the signs of nitrogen starvation of plants, as well as in case of shedding fruit and berries, carry out foliar top dressing by spraying with carbamide from special garden sprayers. Before ammonium nitrate, which is used for the same purposes, urea has a significant advantage - it burns less leaves. Out-root fertilizing with carbamide during the growing season is carried out at the rate of 3 liters of a working solution per 100 m². The working solution for vegetables is prepared as follows: 50 - 60 g of carbamide per 10-liter bucket of water. For fruit and berry crops, the working solution is prepared at the rate of 20-30 g per bucket of water.

Urea as a means of protecting plants

Carbamide is used as an effective means of controlling pests. At the onset of warm spring days before the onset of swelling kidneys, the urea solution is used as a means of controlling wintering insects: aphids , weevils, mednitsa, etc. Beginners need to know how to build carbamide for the preparation of the solution used in the destruction of pests. To do this, 500-700 g of a concentrated urea solution is added to 10 liters of water.

To protect plants from scab, purple spot and other infectious diseases, spraying is carried out in the initial period of fall foliage, in autumn. Fruit of fruit-bearing trees and berry bushes is processed, as well as fallen leaves. The solution is prepared the same as for the destruction of harmful insects.
