Yoga for the eyes

Yoga for the eyes is one of the practical philosophical techniques that affects both the body of a person and his soul. Exercises for the eyes in yoga are called mudras , which are basically influenced by natural elements - water, earth, sky, wind and cosmos.

Gymnastics for the eyes in yoga

You do not have to do anything unusual: the exercises are based on a natural position for the human eye, whether it is watching closely or watching the retreating object. Let's consider separate exercises from a complex:

  1. Trataka - fixing a glance without blinking on the subject until tears come out. You can do it in different ways: for example, look at a candle that costs about a meter from the eyes. When the desired effect is reached, close the eyes and mentally imagine the candle.
  2. Nasara Drishti - sit down, relax, and look at the tip of your nose for two minutes.
  3. Bhrumadhya Drishti - raise your eyes and try to look upwards, into the space between the eyebrows. This calms the cranial nerves.

Such exercises are recommended to be performed daily in order to achieve the maximum result and improve it.

Yoga for the eyes with myopia and hyperopia

If your goal is to restore eye health, you can refer to the two main exercises for relaxing the eye muscles:

  1. Palming - relax, close your eyes with your hands so that there are no gaps. Blink quickly under the palms of your hands.
  2. Solarization - look at the rising and setting sun until tears come, then close your eyes and hold the sensation of sunlight mentally.

Yoga for the eyes is not a panacea, and it would be difficult to single out exercises that would ideally fit for each person. It is important to find exactly "your" exercises, the fulfillment of which will give you joy.
