Modular origami - flowers

Origami is the Japanese art of creating objects, birds, animals, plants from a sheet of paper, bending it. Now origami is available to everyone and it does not lose its popularity. We offer you to succumb to the general trend and create flowers using modular origami for beginners.

Modular origami: flowers

In general, there are many types of origami. We suggest that you try your hand at volumetric. To create such figures, a large number of identical elements are used - modules that are inserted into each other. A triangular module is often used. As a rule, it is folded from small pieces of paper, which are then inserted into each other. All sheets for modules must be the same size. Most suited 1/16 or 1/32 of the album sheet. So, let's start creating modules:

  1. First, the sheet should be bent in half.
  2. Then the resulting rectangle is bent in half across. We place the module upside down.
  3. After that, the corners must be turned to the top. Turn the workpiece to the reverse side and bend the lower part to the top.
  4. Fold the corners through a triangle, and then straighten the bottom of the workpiece, not forgetting about the corners.
  5. Re-fold the corners over the lines already outlined and bend the bottom.
  6. Bend the received part in half.

As you can see, the module has two bottom corners and two pockets, so that they can easily be inserted into each other. Thus, flowers are created by origami from triangular modules.

However, in addition to triangular modules, one module of Kusudama for the core of colors of the modules is needed.

  1. A square sheet of paper is folded in half with the front side inward.
  2. After unfolding it, we fold it again in two, but in the opposite direction.
  3. Expand the workpiece, fold the inside out diagonally in half.
  4. Again, unfold the part and fold it diagonally, but in the opposite direction.
  5. Unfolding the workpiece, we unfold it to ourselves.
  6. On the lines that were obtained by folding diagonally, we add a square.
  7. Having bent the edge of the square, flatten it in the middle.
  8. Turning over the square, we also do the same with 3 edges, and also 2 and 4.
  9. 1 bend the detail by 180 degrees. We see only his wrong side.
  10. Bend the rib so that the edge is along the fold line of the workpiece.
  11. We do the same with 2 edges.
  12. After this, the triangular edge between the bent ribs needs to be bent to the top of the module.
  13. Similarly, in pairs, add 5 and 6, 3 and 4, 7 and 8 edges of the workpiece.
  14. Expand all the workpiece.
  15. We work with the wrong side. We start to fold and collect the part, as shown in the photo.
  16. Similarly, add the remaining three corners of the workpiece.
  17. Our module is ready!

Modular origami flowers: master class

And now proceed directly to the assembly of the flower cornflower. To do this, you will need to make 10 blue, 10 green and 70 blue triangular modules and 1 module of Kusudama blue. The scheme for assembling modular origami flowers of cornflowers is as follows:

1. At once 3 rows are collected:

We get a small flower.

2. Turn the flower to the other side and add 4 rows of 10 blue modules.

3. In the 5th row, 20 blue modules should be put on. This is done so that there are 2 modules on each previous module. Free pockets must be inside.

4. In the 6th row, 30 blue modules are used. For each previous 2 modules, 3 modules are put on: 1 module is located in the center, and 2 side modules are positioned so that free pockets are inside.

5. The module of the Kusudama is inserted into the core of the flower.

6. We make a cornflower's stem. To do this, we cut out the upper part of the cocktail tube, we do not need it.

Wrap the tube with green paper and cut out the sheet.

7. Insert the stem into the lower central part of the flower. Done!

So, knowing how to make a flower from the modules, you will easily create a whole bunch of cornflowers. It is best to place the bouquet in a vase of origami from the modules. This is a completely different story!

From the modules you can make and flower vase , and other figures, for example, a hare .
