How can I make a decoupage on the refrigerator?
Decoupage is the decoration of various objects with the help of carved paper motifs. As for the refrigerator, its decoupage can be done pasting it with wallpaper, beautiful multi-layer napkins, newspaper or magazine clippings, and also ordinary thin paper on which any ornament you like is printed. From above, to achieve a smooth glossy surface, the walls of the refrigerator are covered with several layers of acrylic lacquer.
Decoupage of a refrigerator with napkins - a master class
We need:
- napkins with a pattern (in our case, grapes);
- PVA glue;
- acrylic lacquer;
- white, green and brown acrylic paints;
- simple pencil, brushes, scissors.
Progress:
- Gently cut out the pattern from the napkin and separate the top layer.
To our grapes do not look monotonous, with some you can remove one or two leaves, a few grapes on the edges or from below. - In advance, think about the location of all the elements in the overall picture and proceed to their gluing. To do this, slightly dilute PVA with water and with a brush apply it directly on top of the napkin, moving from the edge of the drawing to the center.
- When all the bunches are pasted with a pencil, you need to draw a connecting vine and "antennae". Then the branch is painted with brown acrylic paint, and the "antennae" is green. In order to make the drawing look more natural, it is recommended to use several shades of colors to form half-shade and highlights. White paint apply glare on the grapes.
- After all work is completely dry, the refrigerator should be covered with acrylic lacquer in two stages.
