Before the first visit to the kindergarten, the baby is waiting for another test - he needs to undergo a medical examination (medical examination). What is hidden behind these words, and what doctors will need to visit - we'll figure it out in our article.
Where and how to pass a medical examination in the kindergarten?
The medical examination in front of the kindergarten is easier and easier to do in the district children's polyclinic. If, for some reason, it is difficult to do this at the place of residence, then a medical examination of the child for admission to the kindergarten is also open to specialists of commercial medical institutions. The procedure for passing medical examination to a kindergarten is as follows:
1. Visit to the pediatrician, during which the doctor will issue a special medical card and bring in the primary data about the child, and also explain, which specialists should be examined and what tests to hand over to the kindergarten.
2. Inspection of specialists, which includes a visit:
- otolaryngologist, determining the features of the structure and the presence of diseases of the nasopharynx and the ears of the baby;
- a surgeon who reveals the presence of surgical pathologies in a child (inguinal and umbilical hernia, phimosis and dropsy of testicles);
- orthopedist, determining the violation of posture and the presence of curvature of the spine, deformation of the feet;
- a neurologist checking the state of the nervous system, the level of psychoemotional development of the child and the correctness of the vestibular apparatus;
- gynecologist, who examines the external genitalia in girls;
- a dentist who examines the milk teeth, bridle lips and tongue;
- oculist, determining the presence of visual impairments in the child and examining the fundus;
- dermatologist, giving an assessment of the skin condition of the child.
3. Based on the results of the examination, specialists may prescribe additional examinations from an allergist, cardiologist, and perform ultrasound examinations of internal organs. Children who have reached the age of three years of age should also receive counseling from a speech therapist.
4. Conducting laboratory tests:
- a general blood test ;
- general analysis of urine ;
- bacterial stool study;
- analysis of feces for egg-worm;
- scraping on enterobiasis.
5. Obtaining information about the epidemics in the clinic - the child's contact with infectious patients during the last seven days.
6. Repeated visit to the pediatrician who, on the basis of the results of the examination of the specialists, gives an opinion on the possibility of visiting the kindergarten.
