But this is not so. Both glucose syrup, and food glycerine, and coconut oil can be found in any specialized store or ordered on websites that sell similar food additives. The time spent on this is undoubtedly compensated by an excellent result. Mastic, cooked according to this recipe, is ideal for covering cakes and forming a wide variety of shapes and ornaments. Preparing the sugar mastic, pour the necessary amount of gelatin with cold purified water, according to the instructions on the packaging of your product, and after the swelling, warm the mass in a water bath until all the gelatinous granules are blooming.

During the infusion of gelatin we sift through a fine strainer sugar powder and place it in a suitable wide bowl, and then add to it liquid gelatinous mass and all other ingredients from the list of ingredients. We knead the mass for a short while with a spoon, and then we lay out the silicone mat on the starch dusted and get plasticity and homogeneity of the mastic. You may need a little more starch to get a sticky texture.

From the specified quantity of components we receive approximately 1,4 kgs of sugar house mastic, from which we can decorate with our own hands decorations for the original thematic cake, and also cover it with the product.

To obtain a colored mastic, we divide the total clump into the desired number of colors, add the appropriate dye to each serving and mix it until it is completely distributed over the mastic and obtain an even color.

To do this, choose a marshmallow of the same color, place it in a glass bowl, sprinkle with lemon juice and put the seconds for twenty microwave oven at full capacity. Ideally, marshmallows should swell and increase in volume almost twice. Stir the mass with a spoon, and then pour the sifted sugar powder and make the knead. If the specified amount of powdered sugar is in your case not enough to achieve a non-sticky texture of mastic, then in the final stage of blending, you can add a little starch to achieve the desired density.

The dye can be added immediately with the powder or mix it after the preparation of the mastic, dividing it into the desired number of servings.
