Mackerel Soup

Mackerel is great not only for frying and baking, but also for preparing first courses. Regardless of which fish you have on hand: fresh, smoked or canned, you can always cook on its basis a delicious soup.

Fish soup from fresh mackerel

Before you can cook soup from mackerel, you need to prepare its base - broth. For broth, we clean the fish, wash, divide into portions and put in a pan with cold water. We bring the water to a boil and turn down the fire. Cook the broth for 15-20 minutes, periodically removing the foam from the surface.

While the fish broth is brewed - prepare the vegetables: onions, potatoes, carrots and celery, cut into cubes.

From the broth we take out the fish and disassemble it, separating the meat from the bones. Broth filter through a couple of layers of gauze, return to the pan and lay the vegetables. Cook the vegetables until ready, add the fish, greens and spices to taste.

Soup from smoked mackerel

Ingredients:

Celery and onions cut into cubes and fry 3-4 minutes in butter. Sprinkle the pasteurization with flour and continue cooking for another minute. Potatoes are cleaned and cut the same way.

In a saucepan, mix a sheet of water and a half liter of tomato juice. Bring the mixture to a boil, put the pieces of fish and vegetables, season it to taste. The soup will be ready in 5-7 minutes.

Soup from canned fish of mackerel

Ingredients:

With canned water we drain water and disassemble the fish into pieces. Heat the oil and fry onions and celery on it for 2-3 minutes. Fill the vegetables with broth, add the tomato paste. We bring the contents of the pan to a boil, add the fish and cook for 10 minutes. To taste, we add lemon juice, salt, pepper and herbs to the dish.

In order to make soup from canned mackerel in a multivark, we put all vegetables and fish at the same time and choose the "Quenching" mode for 1 hour.
