Liquor from sweet cherries at home - recipe

For the preparation of liquor a variety of dense fruits and berries will fit. You can insist on alcohol on cherry, currant, blueberry and even cherries. Depending on the time that you have, the process of insisting can take two weeks or six months. Of course, the longer the alcohol will spend in the company of berries, the more color and taste they will be able to convey, and hence the more saturated will the liqueur itself. Liquor from sweet cherries at home

Let's start with the basic recipe, implying the infusion of vodka on berries, followed by the addition of sugars or sugar syrup to the tincture.

Before preparing the liqueur from the sweet cherry, from the berries it is necessary to remove the stone. For the expressed taste and aroma of the drink, it is desirable that the vodka penetrate directly into the flesh of the fruit. When the berries are prepared, they are poured into any glass containers, making sure they are not too close to each other. Pour the cherry with vodka and cover the chosen container with a lid. Leave the liquor in cool and dark for at least 2 weeks, but it is possible for half a year. From time to time, the container with liquor is shaken. At the end of the selected cooking time, the vodka is filtered, lightly squeezing the berry-saturated berries. Because the sweet cherry is sweet on its own, you may not want to add more sugar to the drink. Anyway, its quantity can be varied to your taste.

Liqueur of yellow cherry without vodka

Replacing the yellow cherry with the usual burgundy berry, you will not notice any special changes in the taste of the drink, but, of course, such a change will noticeably affect the color. A golden liqueur of yellow cherry can be cooked not on vodka, but on a well-cleaned moonshine or diluted alcohol.

Remove the bones from the sweet cherry in any convenient way. Place the peeled berries in any suitable jar and lightly mash. Do not turn cherries into purees, but try to break the integrity of the pulp, releasing a little juice. Drain the juice of the juice in a separate container, and pour the berries with alcohol. For flavor, add cinnamon stick. You can vary the assortment of spices at your own discretion.

Dissolve sugar in warm water with cherry juice and add the resulting syrup to the drink. Insist the liqueur for at least 10 days, choosing a cool and dark place for this purpose. At the end of the infusion time, strain the drink, removing the berries and cinnamon, and then pour it into the bottles, tightly seal and store also in a cool place.

Cherry liqueur with bones on vodka

The recipe for liquor on pure vodka was disassembled above, here we propose to use an alcoholic mixture from ordinary vodka and brandy, so that the taste of the finished drink is more multifaceted.

First deal with berries. Remove the washed cherries slightly, but do not remove the stones. Combine the brandy with vodka and sugar, then shake the mixture until the sugar crystals are dissolved. Fill the cut cherries with the resulting alcoholic mixture and close the jar with the future liquor. Leave the drink infused in a dark and cool place for a month. The first couple of weeks the liquor should be shaken regularly.

After the infusion is complete, the liquor is discarded gently, and the berries can be discarded.
