In the museum of the famous artist and sculptor Jean Tangli (1925-1991), your court presents unique exhibits of kinetic art, the fruits of the forty-year activity of the master, created from various industrial elements and all sorts of household items. Old, outmoded pipes, metal plates and discs, rusty pots, bicycle spokes the author magically turned into unimaginable sculptures. Some of them are set in motion by means of various levers, wheels, gears and motors, changing shapes and thus forming incredible abstract pictures, others, making metamorphoses, self-destruct.

With his "metamehanic" sculptures, the author wanted to convey the message about the fine line between the rapid mechanization of mankind and the animation of machines.

The museum of Jean Tangli presents sketches, sketches, drawings, letters and other documentation of the master. Also, in the museum you can get acquainted with the works of Tangli's brothers in kinetic art. The work of the sculptor is a landmark of Switzerland, so you can admire them outside the museum. So, its installation under the name "Luminator" can be found at the airport of Basel, and in the center of the city, on the street Steinenberg, is located the creation of Tangli - "Carnival Fountain" (Fasnachtsbrunnen).
