How to make clouds from cotton wool?

Decorating a child's room is quite simple. You can make butterflies from paper, stencils on the wall or just crafts from the remains of wallpaper. And you can also make an air decoration room - the clouds of cotton wool by their own hands. You can also use sintepon for this purpose. Nevertheless, ready clouds can decorate not only a children's room, but also prepare for a romantic evening.

So, how to make artificial clouds? Of the existing methods, you can distinguish two - to make clouds from the synthepone (or similar material) or from cotton wool.

Make clouds of synthepone

Synthepone is a voluminous, light and elastic material that is ideal for creating air clouds. You can attract small children to work. To make clouds with your own hands, you will need: sintepon, scissors, fishing line (or thread), some wire, scotch tape, round nose pliers and wire cutters.

Let's get to work. Cut off a piece of sintepon and stretch its fibers in all directions. This way we can give the cloud the desired size and shape. Children's fingers are perfect for such work. Make a necessary amount of clouds from the synthepon.

To hang our clouds, it is necessary to make with a help of nippers and round-nosed pliers a spiral wire. A fishing line or string is attached to them. On such spirals of wire strings of the clouds are very convenient, you just need to screw into the cloud a spiral. Attach the other end of the line or thread with tape to the ceiling.

Making clouds of cotton wool

The clouds made from cotton wool are a bit more complicated, and they are attached to the ceiling in the same way. Let us dwell only on manufacturing. Before you make the clouds at home, stock up with cotton, starch and a small pot of water.

To make such clouds it is necessary to use a paste. It is it will absorb the cotton wool, which will allow the clouds to keep the shape well. To make a paste, take 250 ml of water, add 2 teaspoons of starch and stir well. Warm on a small fire. Do not bring to a boil and stir constantly. Gradually the paste begins to thicken and it will be easy to spread it with a brush.

Fan the pieces of cotton wool, giving them the shape of clouds. All the fluffy cotton balls are dipped in paste and connect them with each other, thereby creating a cloud of the right size. Lay the ready-made clouds on a smooth, smooth surface to dry. You can safely use a tray or a large ceramic dish. Clouds of cotton wool will dry for about a day. To dry it was uniform, turn them around every 2 hours. Dried clouds of cotton wool, remember with your hands and hang it to the ceiling.
