The end result is the same to taste, but the "raw" way of preparing the extract of tarhuna allows you to keep the maximum benefit.

Before you make a tarhun drink at home, you need to cook the syrup for it. For the syrup, it is enough to combine sugar with water in equal proportions, boil until the crystals completely disappear, and then slightly cool.

Half the tarhun leaves are mashed in a mortar, pouring a little water, if necessary. The resulting juice squeeze through the cheesecloth, making sure that everything is extracted, to the last drop. After, the juice of tarhuna is diluted, supplemented with lime juice and combined with the remaining water.

The finished drink is mixed with the remaining green leaves and well cooled before tasting.

When sugar is poured, pour in order of a glass of boiling water, add citrus juice and whisk everything with a blender. The resulting gruel is transferred to gauze and squeeze all the juice well. Dilute the resulting concentrate with water, starting from a ratio of 1: 4. If desired, the ready-made drink can be further sweetened.

How to make a lemonade from a tarragon?

Tarhun can be used not only as an independent basis for a drink, but also add it to lemonades. In the composition of our lemonade, besides the lemons themselves, there is a rhubarb, giving the drink an extra sourness and a pleasant reddish hue.

Sliced ​​rhubarb powder with a good pinch of sugar and leave for 15 minutes. Bring half of the water to a boil, mix it with the remaining sugar and add the rhubarb. Cook it for at least 4-5 minutes, and then remove the hot broth from the fire and add to it tarragon (tarhun). Leave everything to stand until completely cooled, and then strain and serve with ice.

How to make a home tarragon - recipe

Another version of lemonade from tarhuna is more standard and includes an absolute minimum of ingredients in its composition. Nevertheless, you can diversify the drink as you like.

Whisk the lemon zest (white part) with tarragon and sugar in puree. Dissolve mashed potatoes with a little boiling water to extract from the leaves a maximum of essential oils, and then squeeze well through gauze. Mix the obtained tarragon concentrate with lemon juice, and then dilute the remaining water. Water can be used as a carbonated or non-carbonated.

As an alternative to lemons, you can use limes or combine different types of citrus fruits with each other.

Finished beverage is cooled or served with ice.
