How to make a cat out of plasticine in 7 steps?

In order to make a cat in 7 steps, we need plasticine, toothpicks and a knife. Molding a cat from plasticine takes only a few minutes. A preschool-age kid will need adult help in the first stages, and the junior high school student will easily cope with the task himself.

  1. Take a rectangular piece of plasticine of the color that you want to see your cat. With a knife or a stack, we divide the piece into three equal parts.
  2. From one part we roll a ball for the trunk, from the second part we separate a small piece for the tail, from the rest of the plasticine we roll the ball - the head, and the third part is divided into 6 identical parts and also we roll balls.
  3. From one big ball roll oval - trunk, from 4 small parts we roll sausages-legs, the fifth we divide in half and we roll two ovals - ears, the sixth we divide into two identical and one absolutely small slice - cheeks and a nose.
  4. We attach all the details to the head: from the balls for the ears with fingers we form triangles, balls-cheeks press the palm so that they are flattened. We put in the head a match or a toothpick, with which we will fasten it to the trunk.
  5. We form the paws-sausages and tail and attach all the details to the trunk. This can be done by slightly pressing the clay to the body, and all the details can be attached with matches or toothpicks, then the legs and tail will be mobile.
  6. From small pieces of green color we roll balls-eyes, and from absolutely tiny balls of white or black color we make pupils. Attach all the details and gently flatten your fingers.
  7. From a small piece of red plasticine we make a tongue, and we give the cat the position that we like.

Funny cat from plasticine for preschoolers

We offer one more variant of plasticine cat, which children will be able to blind 4-5 years. For this craft, we need a plasticine of two colors, small pieces of wire and a knife.

  1. Take a piece of plasticine orange (or any other color) and divide it into three parts: one part is the largest for the trunk, the second is smaller for the head, and the third is small for the ears and tail. From the largest piece we roll sausage and cut it from two sides in the middle with a knife. Fingers smooth irregularities, giving paws a round outline.
  2. Gently bend the torso in a semicircle and proceed to molding the head. From the second part of plasticine we roll a ball-head, and from the rest we make an oval tail and two small triangular eyelets (for this you can roll a ball and twist it with your fingers). From a piece of white plasticine we mold the muzzle: we roll the oval and press it with the palm. From a piece of black color we make a spherical nose, and eyes.
  3. We connect all the details with each other and get a figure of a funny cat that arched in the huntress's pose. Such a cat made of plasticine can be supplemented with stripes. To do this, from a piece of white plasticine we roll thin sausages and attach them to the back and tail.

A simple hand-crafted sitting cat from plasticine

We offer an easy way to make a cat for the smallest craftsmen. Plasticine toys are quite fragile, especially in places of joining parts. For babies 2-3 years is difficult to play with handicrafts carefully, so it is for them to offer a model of a sitting cat. For this craft, we need a large piece of plasticine and wire.

  1. We divide plasticine into two unequal parts: one big for the trunk, the second smaller for the tail, paws and ears. From the big piece of plasticine we roll an oval, then we press it to the table, so that the bottom part is wider than the upper one.
  2. From the remaining piece of plasticine we roll a tail oval, two small balls for the paws and two small balls that need to be sharpened above for the ears.
  3. By analogy with the previous version, we mold the cat face, eyes and nose. We connect all the details and attach the mustache from the wire.

Having mastered the basics of modeling "moustached-striped", you can easily dazzle a wide variety of cats.
