Flux - treatment at home

A small, painful knob on the gum - this is how the tooth flux looks at the initial stage - at first glance it may seem quite harmless. Therefore, very often in the occurrence of this disease, people do not rush to consult a doctor, believing that it is possible to do with flux treatment at home.

However, one should know that flux, or odontogenic periostitis, is a serious infectious disease that can cause dangerous complications. For example, very often when the form of flux is started, the tooth suffers so much that it is not possible to avoid its removal. Or the flux can be complicated by phlegmon, a deadly disease in which pus spreads to all parts of the face, neck and even sternum. Therefore, one should not treat this disease lightly, but should immediately contact a dentist who will open an abscess to remove its contents and prescribe the subsequent treatment.

But what if you can not urgently consult a doctor? In this case, the treatment of dental flux should be started at home using folk remedies. This will not only help to cope with pain, remove swelling and reduce inflammation, but also stop the progression of the process, that is, reduce the likelihood of complications.

You can apply compresses and lotions directly to the affected gum:

The above recipes, especially for rinsing the oral cavity, can be used even after the opening of the abscess for disinfection of the oral cavity and the fastest healing. But once again pay attention that this article does not call for treatment of the flux itself at home, and all the recommendations serve for their use before visiting the dental office.
