Volume decoupage is a technique for creating realistic 3D images. This is a whole art associated with ordinary decoupage only in that the basis for creating pictures are ready-made printed on paper plots and motifs. However, despite the apparent complexity, voluminous decoupage is available even for beginners - you only need the desire, patience and perseverance.
The essence of the technique of volumetric decoupage is to glue the pattern parts onto the substrate layer by layer using a special glue. To make the image of three-dimensionality serve not only handy materials in the form of paper napkins, but also a special silicone adhesive and paste - a soft polymer substance, which after drying resembles porcelain. The subject of decoupage can be anything - an old casket, a plaque, a vase, a bottle. Great popularity is enjoyed by the large-scale decoupage in the Terra technique, which allows you to use what in ordinary situations seems to be trash in usual situations: buttons, pieces of ribbons and ribbons, fragments of glass and plastic. To create a decorative bottle in a rustic style, we will need:
- glass bottle, pre-primed with white acrylic or PVA glue;
- paste for modeling two types: thin and rough;
- napkin with a figure in the form of a cock;
- acrylic paints;
- silicone adhesive for decoupage;
- bitumen varnish;
- dried flowers, cereals, spikelets.
Progress:
- We turn the napkin, turn it upside down and cover it with a piece of transparent film.
- Take a little rough paste, leave for a while in the air - it must dry.
- Over the film spread the paste on the picture, aligning the contour.
- The film along with the paste carefully put to the bottle, press and remove the film.

- After the paste has dried, we glue a napkin onto it. Similarly, on the other side of the bottle make the second cock.

- After the paste has dried, begin to color. In white acrylic, add a drop of ocher and brown.
- Especially carefully we paint the grass and wrinkles.
- After the paint dries, you need to apply gold acrylic on top.
- For the aging of some areas we apply a bitumen varnish to them with a sponge.
- Excess varnish and paint is removed with white spirit.
- We let it dry for a day and cover the whole bottle with varnish. Bottle, decorated in the technique of volumetric decoupage is ready.
