Trophic ulcers on the legs - treatment

The trophic ulcers are not an independent disease, they always accompany serious disorders in the body. In order to get rid of this problem, it is necessary to begin therapy of the root cause of pathology. Treatment of symptoms should be performed simultaneously, as part of complex measures.

How to treat a trophic ulcer?

Modern medicine offers three ways of treating the disease in question. They consist in conservative medical, local and surgical methods. This approach is due to the fact that large colonies of pathogenic microorganisms and fungi that cause inflammatory processes and trophic ulcers on the legs are found on the skin - the treatment should be long and systemic, taking into account the possible resistance of bacteria to the drugs used. Moreover, it is necessary to restore normal blood circulation in the extremities and permeability of blood vessels, and also to prevent the relapse of the disease and its progression.

Trophic ulcers - treatment with medicines

In the therapeutic practice, antibiotics with a wide spectrum of action are used to kill colonies of microorganisms. It should be noted that throughout the course of treatment it is important to periodically make bacteriological seeding, which allows to find out the reaction to the drug used and the degree of resistance to it. In parallel, it is necessary to carry out antifungal and antihistamine therapy to avoid sensitization of the organism and mutation of bacteria in more resistant strains.

Drugs for trophic ulcers:

After careful washing of the skin and removal of purulent masses, necrotic tissue, a tight bandage is required, using an ointment with trophic ulcers. The most effective drug today is Argosulfan.
