Domesticated or ornamental rats are simply undeservedly unpopular. But they are the cleanest of all rodents, and they are incredibly friendly, with excellent memory and good manners. Photographer Diane Özdamar spent more than a year surrounded by these lovely creatures, and that's what she happened to learn:
"The presence of a decorative rat in the house is not an easy task, because they suffer from the terrible reputation inherited from them, and the hosts, not coping with emotions, simply throw them out into the street ..."
The photographer had a chance to try to show all the charm of these babies, in the hope that more, they will not be in the garbage can!
