Spices for chicken

Dishes from chicken can be varied not only due to different ways of cooking meat, but also changing the composition of spices added to them. The list of condiments that the housewives use is usually quite narrow - they are familiar to everyone: salt, pepper, bay leaf, garlic, etc. Remember that one and the same chicken, cooked with the addition of various seasonings, will be very different both in taste and in flavor.

Which spices are suitable for chicken?

So, the sharpness of chicken meat, undoubtedly, gives pepper. Of course, it is best to use black or chili, they will subtly emphasize the taste and give the necessary spiciness to the cooked dish. Peppers are usually added at the very end of the cooking, because during the heat treatment they can give an unpleasant bitterness. Chili is a highlight of Mexican cuisine. It is added when cooking chicken goulash and spicy wings.

In addition to chicken peppers, marjoram, sage, rosemary, basil, thyme and mint are suitable. These seasonings can be used separately from each other or make up mixtures of them. Before cooking, the chicken should be rubbed with these herbs and left for a while to marinate. Such seasonings as curry and ginger became very popular. Both these spices perfectly match and complement the taste of the chicken. Ginger gives the dish a burning-minty taste, besides it is very useful for health. It is recommended to use it in dried or fresh form. But the curry seasoning is a mixture of universal spices and is suitable even as a spice for grilled chicken. It consists of cumin, white mustard, nutmeg, coriander and all kinds of hot pepper.

But chicken meat in the form of minced meat will be perfectly combined with a seasoning like oregano, without which it is inconceivable to achieve a delicious taste and aroma.

Another spice, which is great for chicken (especially for grilled chicken) is turmeric. Rich, saturated, with a pleasant smell, it will not overflow and will not eclipse the taste of chicken with its presence, but will only delicately emphasize the dish and form an appetizing crust on the chicken.

Spices for grilled chicken can be used the same as for chicken quenching, but the taste of the cooked dish, of course, will be different.

And finally, adding various seasonings and spices for the chicken, remember that, despite their taste and benefit, you need to use everything in reasonable small amounts so that they do not interrupt the natural taste and aroma of the dish.
