How to make brine for herring?
Ingredients:
- drinking water - 910 ml;
- white sugar - 10 g;
- bay leaves - 4 pcs .;
- black pepper (pea) - 5 pcs .;
- salt - 15 g.
Preparation
To prepare the pickle in a pot of water, we throw sugar, salt, laurel and peas of black pepper. Boil the contents and cook for 5 minutes, and then cool. Fill the prepared salted fish with fish and leave the herring for about 6 hours at room temperature. After that, we remove it in the refrigerator and the next day we go to the tasting of fish.

Ingredients:
- drinking water - 990 ml;
- salt of fine grinding - 90 g;
- coriander, peas of black pepper - to taste.
Preparation
To make a spicy brine, pour a pot of cold cold water, throw salt and bring the liquid to a boil. Then add spice to taste and cool the contents.
In the jar, spread the unfrozen and chopped meat of fish and pour the prepared brine. From above, install a heavy load and clean the dishes in a cool place. About a week later, you can treat your family with a delicious and fragrant homemade herring.
Salting herring home-style in brine with vinegar
Ingredients:
- herring;
- mustard seeds - 10 g;
- black pepper (pea) - 5 pcs .;
- cloves - 2 pcs .;
- salt - 40 g;
- thyme - 5 branches;
- bay leaves - 2 pcs .;
- sugar - 155 g.
For brine:
- table vinegar - 100 ml;
- salt, cooked - 20 g;
- water - 310 ml.
Preparation
Water mixed with vinegar and put the dishes on medium fire. After boiling the liquid, we throw salt, stir and cool the solution. Fill them with pre-processed fish and install the cargo on top. We remove the container in the refrigerator and record 12 hours.
Peas of black pepper crushed and mixed with all other spices: thyme, coriander, mustard, cloves, laurel. Pour the fragrant mixture onto the bottom of the container, spread the herring and cover it with a lid. We again install a small load and remove the entire structure in the refrigerator for about a week.
