Hysteroscopy is a gynecological procedure, which is carried out for diagnostic examination purposes and for performing operations.
During the procedure, the doctor enters through the vagina into the uterine cavity a video camera that allows to inspect the inner surface and cervix and perform the operation without unnecessary incisions.

Hysteroscopy in modern conditions is prescribed for various diseases of the female reproductive system:

- uterine bleeding;
- disorders of the menstrual cycle,
- removal of remnants of intrauterine contraceptives;
- presence of parts of the fetal egg due to ectopic pregnancy ;
- as well as to monitor the treatment of certain diseases.
Hysteroscopy of the uterus and pregnancy
Hysteroscopy is often carried out to clarify and eliminate the causes of infertility.
With the help of this method, the state of the fallopian tubes is determined extremely accurately. If the cause of their obstruction is the presence of adhesions or polyps, the hysteroscope helps to remove them.
If the cause of infertility were endometrial polyps or adhesions, the probability of pregnancy after hysteroscopy is quite high.
Usually, after pregnancy, after hysteroscopy of the uterus with scraping, doctors recommend to think about not earlier than 6 months after the procedure, because a woman needs to take certain preventive and curative measures:
- course of antibiotics to prevent complications of surgery;
- anti-inflammatory therapy;
- stimulation of the ovaries;
- hormonal therapy.
Restoration of sexual activity is recommended 2-3 weeks after the operation.

To understand whether the probability of pregnancy is great after hysteroscopy, you should consider which pathologies were the cause of this procedure. If hysteroscopy was performed in order to exclude factors that affect infertility, the probability of conception of a child in the near future increases.
Sometimes it happens that a woman can become pregnant immediately after hysteroscopy or in 2-3 months. In this case, the pregnant woman needs increased medical attention, since if there was scraping, complete recovery of health has not yet been completed and complications are not excluded.
