The real Spanish paella, in addition to the rice base, includes several types of fish and seafood, often mixed with meat and poultry. We decided to pay tribute to the classic combinations and prepare a paella with shrimps for three different recipes.
Paella - recipe with chicken and shrimps
Ingredients:
- olive oil - 40 ml;
- chicken fillet - 2 pieces;
- a large sweet pepper - 2 pcs .;
- shrimp - 500 g;
- green onions - 6-8 feathers;
- smoked paprika - 1 tbsp. a spoon;
- ground chili - to taste;
- rice - 2 tbsp.
Preparation
Preheat the olive oil in a deep frying pan, put the chicken into it and fry it for 5 minutes under the lid. To the bird we add cubes of sweet pepper, wait 5 more minutes and lay the shrimp. When the crustaceans turn pink, we complement the dish with spices and green onion feathers. Mix fried chicken and vegetables with boiled rice, add a little chicken broth or, after boiling rice, water (no more than 120 ml) to achieve the necessary consistency of the dish, and paella with chicken and shrimp is ready!
Paella with shrimps and squid
Ingredients:
- olive oil - 15 ml;
- leeks (white part) - 1 piece;
- sweet pepper - 1 piece;
- garlic chives;
- sharp sausages chorizo - 100 g;
- turmeric - 1 teaspoon;
- rice - 300 g;
- tomato puree - 2 tbsp. spoons;
- fish broth - 800 ml;
- green peas - 150 g;
- peeled squid - 200 g;
- Peeled shrimp tails - 200 g.
Preparation
Warm up the olive oil, fry on it with rings of leeks, cubes of sweet pepper and chorizo slices exactly until the moment when the vegetables reach half cooked, and all the fat will be melted from the sausages. Season the contents of the frying pan with turmeric, add rice and mix. In the broth, dissolve the tomato paste and pour in the solution in Fig. Stirring constantly, cook the dish for 15 minutes, then add peas and seafood. In five minutes the fragrant Spanish dish is ready!
Classic paella with mussels and shrimps - recipe
Ingredients:
- rice - 500 g;
- shrimp - 250 g;
- tiger prawns - 6-8 pieces;
- mussels - 500 g;
- squid rings - 250 g;
- tomatoes in its own juice - 1 item;
- garlic teeth - 4-5 pieces;
- sweet peppers - 2 pcs .;
- fillet of anchovies - 4 pcs .;
- broth chicken - 1,8 l;
- saffron - 3 pinch;
- a handful of olives;
- smoked paprika - 1 tbsp. a spoon.
Preparation
Fry peppers with garlic in a mixture of olive oil and anchovy fillets. Add the spices, pour all the tomatoes and broth. Pour rice and cook it for 15 minutes, after which we put seafood and a handful of olives. Continue cooking for another 5 minutes, and then try our paella with shrimp.
